Linguistic Miracle
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًۭا وَلَا شَرَابًا
“They will not taste therein [any] coolness or drink”
While not tasting therein any coolness or drink
What is meant by coolness is not just coolness itself, but also comfort, because Allah will pair it later on with spouses that people in paradise have. Spousal relations are a
means of comfort and coolness. These people will not have any comfort, any coolness to reduce their suffering, nor any drink to quench their thirst.
